CHECK-IN DAY

The big day is finally here! The car’s packed up, the RV is ready to go, and the kids can’t stop asking “are we there yet?” It’s check-in time (3PM for campsite campers & 4PM for cabin campers), and you can’t wait to explore everything that Jellystone Park™ has to offer. Once you get settled in to your campsite or cabin, the fun truly begins – but what to do first?

Tip: upon arrival, take a look at the Camp-Resort map to see which activity you’re most interested in checking out first. Will you head to the Water Zone to splash the day away? Gather up the family to play a round of mini golf? Head over to the jumping pillow to get out some extra energy built up during your day of travel? Whatever you choose – you can’t go wrong!

DAY 1

After a restful night of sleep, your crew is ready to get going for the day. With so much to do, plan on spending the first full day soaking up everything that Jellystone Park™ has to offer. From outdoor water amenities, mini golf, arts & crafts, and gem mining, to Lazer Tag, archery tag, “Hey Hey” Rides, and more – you’ll stay busy from dawn till dusk! After a busy day at the park, finish off your evening by making tasty s’mores by the campfire.

DAY 2

Time to explore the surrounding area with family and friends! One of the best reasons why Gardiner is the place to be is due to the fact that it’s near a variety of other great cities like New Paltz, Poughkeepsie, and even New York City – only a 2 hour drive! Taking a trip to these locations is the perfect way to spend the day exploring everything that’s near Jellystone Park™. Lucky for you, we’ve outlined a few ideas that we’re sure you’ll love!

If you’re looking to connect with nature, a must-see is Minnewaska State Park. If you’ve never been, you’re surely missing out! Whether you visit during the spring where everything is starting to bloom, or the fall where colors of red, yellow, and orange peak, you’ve never seen views like this. Don’t forget to hike your way to Awosting Falls as well – a beautiful waterfall awaits you!

Need a break from the kids? Take a visit to the Shawangunk Wine Trail where you’ll get to visit several wineries while snaking through the mountains of the western Hudson Valley. Some wineries you’ll get to try include Ben Marl Winery, Robibero Family Vineyards, Whitecliff Winery, and Brotherhood Winery – and it doesn’t end there!

A day exploring a nearby town at your own pace is definitely a day well spent. Be sure to check out downtown New Paltz, where you’ll meet craftspeople, foodies, and artists all in one location!
